The Mosaic Covenant, commonly known as the Old Testament, revolves around Yahweh's commitment to be a God to his chosen people and his people to obligate themselves to follow his laws. These laws consists of Moral, Social and Ceremonial Laws. In this podcast we will define these categories, give a few examples of laws therein and state whether or not they are still in effect during Yahweh's New Covenant era established by the person and work of his covenant representative who replaced Moses and the Old Covenant, namely, Jesus the Messiah.

When the ancient Israelites brought offerings to the tabernacle on their journey from Mount Sinai to the land Yahweh promised to give them on the East side of the Mediterranean sea (as long as they remained faithful to him), they came to offer sin, guilt, and fellowship offerings to Yahweh. These various offerings were meant, in most cases, to absolve the worshipper of sin and guilt. But on what basis was Yahweh willing to forgive them? On the basis of an animal sacrifice or on the basis of something or someone much more significant to Yahweh?
